Do you know the feeling that you get when you're very thirsty, and you can smell water? The water takes on smells it could not possibly contain, silver and mars and happiness. It seems to call to you with a fishing line in the back of your head, pulling you toward it. That's the feeling. That's the one. It's something I'll only explain in person.

I didn't really want to post as "anonymous," but being that I didn't have an account, I had no other choice. I've been reading your work on the 600 seconds site(which my friend Generik posts on also), was impressed, and decided to check out this site. I love the way you think---I love THAT you think. It's kind of rare these days.

Thank you kindly, stranger.

Hi..."anoymous" who doesn't wish to be "anonymous" here again....so given that, my name is Christy.

Please make and exception and explain what you meant by this post---I know you said you would only explain in person, but you live in Texas and I'm a few days hitchhike from there. And I can't afford a plane ticket right now. :P

Please?

I think that part of the word I was looking for and didn't want to say was "slaked." I like the word. It calls to the wolf in us that wants desperately to have water when we are thirsty and meat when we're hungry.
Wow. That sounds a little pretentius.
Lemme try again.
When you need something, desperately, and you suddenly realize that you need it to keep living, only just a second ago you didn't. That kind of feeling.
I quit my job. It was hurting me. I suddenly realized that I was dying of thirst and I didn't even know I was in the desert.
